Brevard, Spring 2022 is upon us! When you are done with the beach and sunshine, be sure to stop and check out our gaming businesses on the Space Coast. Many businesses are holding weekly events at their shops or online. Let's talk a little about those businesses.
Palm Bay
Did you know Palm Bay is one of the fastest growing cities in Brevard? That's right, and luckily for you there are great gaming businesses in the area. Galaxy Games opened their doors a few months ago and are seeing success in retro game resales. Looking to grab a canned craft beer, local Intracoastal on tap and a unique gaming atmosphere... stop into Arcade Monsters! Looking for more competition, did you know the City of Palm Bay has an esports league online? Yep! You can sign up for Spring '22 Season now at this link. League games include Fortnite, Madden 22 and NBA2K22 and are organized through the Mission Control iPhone/Android app.
Melbourne
Not quite Palm Bay, but very close neighbor in West Melbourne has the biggest bar arcade in Brevard, Game Over Bar Arcade. Game Over holds daily events from FIFA Fridays to good ol Karaoke - and Cosplayers get discounts!
Viera Suntree
Looking for something more family eccentric, let me tell you about Viera's First Fridays Game Nights. Held in the Viera Regional Community Center you can play Playstation and Nintendo Switch games such as Smash Ultimate, Call of Duty, and Madden.
Rockledge
A bit further north is one of Brevard's newest additions, The Brevard Game Lounge. Weekly events here for the whole family revolve around board games, you can even check out their events live on YouTube. Dungeons and Dragons, Blood Bowl and much more fun to be had here.
Beachside
Over The Bridge! If you have lived here in Brevard long enough, surely you have seen "OTB". Depending on how die hard you are on not going over the bridge, you should... come on over beachside to Indian Harbour Beach Ready Set Game. In the Walmart shopping plaza, find your favorite board game, expansions, trading cards, video games and memorabilia. This is a one stop shop and event destination. Looking for Magic The Gathering players or Pokemon trades, this is the shop, the only shop on the beach.
Cocoa
Holding it down for the gamers and visitors of Cocoa, we have Gamerz R Us and The Goat Games. Gamerz R Us located in a shopping plaze has a ton of space for friendly MTG meetups and other trading card games. Similar to Ready Set Game, they too have board games, expansions and other gaming products. But, that is not all, chill out in their gaming lounge with some XBox and Playstation. Looking for more retro, used and traded games? Get your steps at the Merritt Island Mall and find yourself at The Goat Games.
